How to Choose a Projector for Rent: Lumens, Screen Size and Setup

Lumens: how bright should it be?
Lumens measure brightness. In a dim room, around 3,000 lumens can be enough for a small audience. For rooms with some light, or larger screens, look for 4,000 lumens or more. Bright halls with lights on need higher still.
Screen size and seating
Choose a screen the back row can read comfortably. A common guide is that the farthest viewer should sit no farther than about six times the screen height. Presentations with small text need a larger screen or closer seating.
Resolution and connections
Full HD is a good standard for slides and video. Check your laptop's output: modern laptops use HDMI or USB-C, and older ones may need VGA. Ask the rental team for the right cables or adapters.
Placement and room light
Place the projector at the distance that matches the screen size, and keep the beam clear of people walking through. Dim the lights near the screen if you can. If you cannot control the light, consider an LED TV or LED wall instead.
Ask for the full package
A good rental includes the projector, a screen, cables, a stand or table and a quick setup test. DKS LED delivers and sets up projectors with screens, and can add a PA sound system for events across India.
